A few specific fixes for evansandjones.co.uk

Evans and Jones Solicitors LLP · Radyr, Cardiff · website rebuild

I rebuild small-business sites in my spare time when I can see they are leaving conversions on the table. I spent thirty minutes on evansandjones.co.uk on a phone with mobile data; three things stood out for a two-partner Radyr practice that already calls itself a modern, dynamic law firm. Below, three findings in plain prose, then a pricing block, then a working rebuild you can click through.

01

The homepage carousel slides through four 2019-era stock photos before naming either partner.

What I saw

The live evansandjones.co.uk loads with a four-slide WordPress carousel (Local & Professional, Residential Conveyancing, Cwmni cyfreithiol modern, Wills & Probate). All four slides are stock photography uploaded in 2019: a boardroom shot, two conveyancing handover scenes, an elderly-couple-with-paperwork. A first-time visitor scrolls through these for ten seconds before they ever meet Dalia Evans or Rhian Jones by name. The carousel itself is the single biggest contradiction with the firm's own self-description as a Modern, dynamic law firm.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: no carousel. A single static hero names both partners in the lede, places the firm at 8B Station Road in Radyr, and surfaces the CQS accreditation directly under the H1. The bilingual lockup (solicitors and cyfreithwyr) sits in the wordmark, so the Welsh identity that the live carousel awkwardly slides through is just permanently there.

02

Every service block uses stock photography. There is no photo of 8B Station Road, no interior, no partners.

What I saw

The Conveyancing, Wills & Probate and LPA service blocks each carry a stock photo from a 2019 WordPress media upload (the wills-probate-cardiff-sm.jpg file is a stock library shot of a couple signing a document). The two partners both publish their direct first-name emails (dalia.evans@ and rhian.jones@), which is a strong signal of an active, personally-run practice; the live site does not deliver on that signal visually. A first-time visitor to a Radyr conveyancing solicitor cannot tell from the homepage what walking into 8B Station Road actually feels like.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: a designed two-partner hero card (no stock people), a typographic services grid that opens with the CQS-accredited conveyancing block in real terms, and a Visit section with a styled SVG map of Station Road / the railway station rather than a stock interior. When you do have a real photo of the Radyr office, it drops straight into the hero slot already designed for it.

03

No live copyright year, no LocalBusiness schema, no machine-readable trace of the CQS accreditation.

What I saw

The footer reads `Evans & Jones Solicitors LLP is a limited liability partnership, registered in England and Wales, registered number OC333958` with no copyright year. There is no `<script type="application/ld+json">` LegalService block, no Organization, no Person record for Dalia or Rhian, and no machine-readable mention of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation that is the firm's most senior credential. Someone searching `conveyancing solicitor Radyr` or `CQS Cardiff` in Google or in an AI assistant has nothing structured to surface, despite the badge being on the homepage.

What the rebuild does about it

After rebuild: footer renders the current year automatically. The page ships a single graph of LegalService + Attorney + Organization schema with the full Station Road postal address, foundingDate 2008, founder + member Person records for Dalia Evans and Rhian Jones, hasCredential entries for the CQS accreditation and SRA regulation, and a Service block for each of conveyancing, wills and probate, and LPAs. The firm starts appearing in the CF15 queries Radyr people actually type.
